Champion Fighter

They say it's not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years. It's where legacy counts. And life is a race. You need to run the course set for you and strongly finish it.

If that's the case, I need to live each day of my life in the best quality. I live in such a way that I play the game fair and right. In the end, I should live with integrity and purpose.

I have many roles to take in life- be it at home, work, or church. And my aim is to balance them well. It may be challenging, but it can be done.

As far as life is going, these are the things I see that I need to focus with:

1. selfless relationship with others
When it comes to my relationship with people, they need love, concern, understanding, and support. They're fighting a battle we never know. A simple smile can brighten up their day. They have their backstories. Knowing them makes us understand them better. It's nice to let them know that they're cared for. They won't feel they're alone. The life journey, after all, is with companions to help them along the way.

Life is difficult. There's no need to complicate it by adding hate, pride, or selfishness. Sometimes, they hurt you. And the first thing that comes to mind is to get back at them. The proper response is mercy. It's hard to do, but it's needed due to the fact of the flawed human nature. Understanding this calms ourselves and makes us hope for something better in the future.

At the end of the day, it's all about valuing relationships. Each one's special. When not given importance, it would be put to waste. We maintain all that we've built. Your kindness is the best virtue that radiates not only others but also yourself.

2. drive for excellence
In the life course, you're called to be at your best. I'll miss out a lot if I don't. So I need to work in whatever I do with all my heart. I learned that you need to purpose to excel. A person with this attitude doesn't give up when he makes mistakes. He doesn't avoid tasks for fear of failure. He does the best he can with what he has at every moment.

The first tries are hard because mistakes are made. You feel discouragement when you experience a string of them. All you want to do is to give up. But if I want to achieve something, I shouldn't let it enter me. I should be determined for my aim and be persevering to reach that. I should value every training I undergo. The struggle is there, but I'll find a way to make it right eventually.

It's rewarding when you know that you've succeeded by not quitting. There's the strength that flourishes. As long as you have the winning mindset, you can reach greater heights. You will then go a long way.

When I do these, I know I can live a meaningful life. I should remind myself that I'm an ordinary person who can do extraordinary things.

In that case, I shouldn't compare my journey to others. Seeing theirs on a stellar high makes it easy to be envious. But I shouldn't judge. There's a story behind it. So I should be happy for them and instead focus on my own.

My journey's different and unique. And when I do that, it'll be a beautifully woven story I could imagine. In running this race of life, I should fight the good fight and press on for the goal of the prize. It won't be easy, but it'll be alright. I'll be a fighter in going along, and I'll be a champion in getting to the end.
