Standing Power

When we encounter difficult situations, what do we do? Do we face them or hide from them?

Yes, they come at us anytime in an unexpected way. These ones can be challenging. They can make us feel that our life is out of control. They can cause us to fear, worry, or panic due to the uncertainty they give. How are we responding to them?

Do we come out stronger and better than before?
Do we stand tall unharmed?
Do we fight until we overcome?

Life is tough and is often unfair. And there's nothing we can do but to accept it. Accepting this reality can help us carry through life's challenges. But despite this, there's something we can gain. It's not only what we can learn about them, but what we can develop in ourselves when these ones come.

It's no doubt that times like these accelerate us. And we know that so well. They make us do things we don't think of doing, even those we previously thought about doing and put off. They push us to a change that can affect us so much. They head us to a new kind of normal. The question now is: Do we allow them to break us or make us? I hope we choose the latter.

So how do we stay strong amid hardship? How do we make through every crisis we encounter? Here are a few things I can list:

1. Find stillness.
There's a need to calm ourselves. We can't change the situation, but we can change what we think of it. We can encourage ourselves with words like "I can overcome this.", "This won't last forever.", "I won't let any trouble overwhelm the survivor in me."

Also, we shouldn't forget to find the good. We recognize the difficulty, but we also know that there are things to be grateful for. The fact that we're still alive and we have the strength to go through it is enough for us to know. And there are many other things. Despite the negativity, we shouldn't lose our optimism.

2. Fight with strength.
Let's be wise enough to live the days we have in our lives. Let's learn from the past. Let's focus on what we can do in the present. Let's think about the future we want to create.

Let's use our ability to overcome every challenge given to us. Yes, we all have that. We can navigate its complexity and emerge better from it. It's a matter of building it up.

Let's find potential ways to deal with the situation. And if we found the ultimate plan, we work on it. It won't be an easy one. It will take us lots of persistence and grit to see that coming. Let's not give up. Let's move forward and be determined to make that happen.

3. Act in selflessness.
I believe that when we have courage and peace, we can have compassion. And this is all possible because of love. And we all can love. It's a core to each one of us.

With love, we can do many things. When difficult times come, we can give despite our lack and poverty. When everyone becomes angry and judgmental to others around them, we can reach out to them with care. When others become hostile and aggressive, we can be kind.

Imagine how we can be. We can bring out what we can give best to others. We always think of what can benefit all. And having such a spirit brings that strength inside us. We know how to see any situation through in the end, considering these things. It's in here we can see that strength truly comes inside out. It's not just only will, but also heart. It's a balance for both of them.

4. Live in hope.
We all face life's challenges with hope for things to be better. In fact, it's the ultimate force we hold on to for these.

Some of us have become hopeful by nature, but we do need a little reassurance every now and then that all will be well. Hope is that little spark that wants the best of circumstances to happen. Without it, everything is lost.

I say we don't lose sight of that. We continue life riding the waves with confidence for a brighter tomorrow. And to live in hope is not just only receiving it, but also becoming it. Let's be there when the need arises. Let's do what we need to do. Let's persevere. Let's fight until the end with hope still in our hands.

These ones come handy in any crisis we face. Whatever it may be, it doesn't make any difference. The plan or strategy may be different, but these are very needed to make us get through. What I'm sure is once we get through it, something in us will change. This will come if we allow ourselves for such.

As they say, something good comes out of these ones. I agree with this. It's where we learn. We understand better how life is. And if we broaden our perspective on how we approach it, we can be confident to face anything in life no matter what difficulty. It's my hope that we become bulletproof as we fight in life. Fight on!
