Life Circle

As Andy Stanley said, "Life change happens best in circles, not in rows."

Life is best when we can tread the path to purposeful living. But it's also best when we have people journeying with us.

Think of it. The milestones we achieved are due to the people who have helped us along the way. They helped us in times of need, helped us accomplish more than we could achieve on our own, comforted us, provided us protection from difficult situations, and all other things.

We're all wired for meaningful connections in this sense. Up until today, the hurt of feeling alone isn't new. It's a struggle we commonly face. But we have an opportunity to avail the benefits of friendship and community.

But this community we have is a different one. Not only do we do life together. We also walk the faith journey together. We have a faith that impacts and inspires us to transform our lives to a life like His, which is why they interconnect. It's a community that assures a safe space, encourages one to be authentic, builds trust, and leaves no room to become judgmental.

It can consist of people coming from different seasons of life. Sometimes, it can consist of those your age. Either way, engaging in it keeps you in a continuous exchange of wisdom and new information with one another.

But what is a life group mainly all about?

It's about learning together.

It's one of the ways we grow. In a life grounded by our faith, we can grow from the practical teachings we learn and apply from the Scriptures, present situations, and others. We can grow from the disciplines we make ourselves to flourish holistically, particularly the spiritual aspect. We can grow from our personal relationships- those that give great welfare in our journey. We can grow from how we minister to others in love and service. In all of our personal learnings, we can share these with one another. It's a way of encouraging one another to further growth.

It's being healthy together.

The best way to live life and make momentous memories with others is to be fully present and healthy. Every day's an opportunity to make an impact on someone, no matter how big or small it is. And we can do that by loving, honoring, and taking good care of our bodies, the vessels of our souls, to make such a purpose. Our bodies should be consistently nourished, strengthened, and given rest. In doing so, they can be led to their needed wellness.

It's inspiring in faith together.

We always bring to heart the story of Jesus that touches us. His moments, miracles, and parables inspire us to follow Him. We may hear them repeatedly, but we allow so. They are reminders to us as they're still applicable today. We'll always have the reality of His power to find us where we are and allow it. We'll always find ourselves inspiring one another to be like Him, to do what He would do in anything we're going through as we follow Him more.

It's sharing God's goodness together.

We can share time together to reflect on His faithfulness to us in our lives, and one way is to express them in gratitude. In this, we can fully confirm His character and being, which inspires us to love Him more and walk with Him more. No matter how big or small, He's behind each of them. This also assures us that everything is orchestrated by the same God we love, praise, worship, and follow. It also assures us that we're on the right track.

It's also praying together.

Prayer is power, as well as impact. But it can be more powerful and impactful when you have people who will pray with you and for you. It's like a feeling of comfort, knowing someone is willing to participate with you in the journey. And that can mean so much to us. This can go around each of us. And soon enough, we can partner with one another. Imagine the power we can bring when we pray together in one faith and spirit.

With the life groups I've been in, one fact we can agree on is a person who connects to this kind of community wants to find belonging and great affinity. This is with real people in a real space in real-time. Life has its blow of realities. And we all need people to help us navigate them. The authenticity we need from here must be strong, deep, and genuine.

There may be imperfections and messinesses formed from there, but beauty comes from it. And it can be bloomed further with love. It can also be overflowed with grace and generosity. We just need to get along in humility and build consistency and intentionality to be the loving circle we can be.

And with these, we pass on. We pass on this spirit to others who need it as well. We can do all these knowing that life matters. We can uplift the drive to keep on in life one life at a time.

So, carry on the life journey with a circle of friends. Make every connection count.
